Parks Airport is located approximately five minutes from downtown Saint Louis, Missouri and provides a close-in facility for corporate and commuter air traffic. It is a small airport, but it is nevertheless an integral part of the regional transportation system. Faced with a very tight budget, the design of this terminal building still had to provide for efficient operation and allow for future expansion. The open feeling of the concourse is generated by exposing the lightweight roof structure and the use of extraordinarily large round windows.
