“The best quality control lab Monsanto has at any of our plants.” So said Monsanto’s lead Project Engineer. Designed for efficient processing of daily test samples, this facility provides for the use of radioactive isotopes, explosive gases and other means for measuring the purity of plant product. Our evaluation of the original concept plans provided by Monsanto led to a completely new design approach and resulted in a plan which drew praise from every quarter. Barrie Scott was the architect for another large Quality Control Laboratory for Mallinkrodt, Inc., in Saint Louis, Missouri and designed a major Laboratory and Pilot Plant for Bristol-Myers Squibb in Evansville, Indiana, while engaged as Principal Architect for a large design/build firm.
